At the January 16, 2024, Council Meeting, Mr. Tony Fleming, Integrity Commissioner for the City of Pembroke, reviewed his report regarding a Code of Conduct. Council made a motion to accept the report and that a copy of the report be posted on the City’s website in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

Electronic Surveillance Monitoring SystemAt the July 11th, 2023 meeting of Combined Committee, the Electronic Surveillance Monitoring System Use Policy was approved by Committee.
By-law 2023-58 (A by-law to adopt the Electronic Surveillance Monitoring System Use Policy) was passed August 8, 2023.
Notice is hereby given that the Electronic Surveillance Monitoring System is in use.
Kinsmen Pool closed as Council explores public-private partnership potential

Kinsmen Pool is closed to the public effective end of day January 5 due to safety concerns of the building for patrons and staff, as well as the overall state of repair of the facility.
City of Pembroke Council made the decision to close the pool at its January 5 budget meeting. The structural safety and liability concerns, coupled with the fact the pool is at the end of its life, led to the decision.

Planning and Development Committee James W. Lapointe Motor Holdings Inc. Subdivision Request to Transfer Future Lot 46 Committee directed staff to prepare a by-law for the January 16, 2024 Council meeting approving the sale of Lot 46 to Mr. Lapointe of the James W. Lapointe Motor Holdings Inc. Plan of Subdivision. This lot was agreed for sale previously, in principle, as part of the Draft Plan Approval in one of the conditions, permitting this lot to be used as a building lot. Parking By-law Fees
