Pembroke to launch new transit service this summer

Public transit is returning to Pembroke in 2025. Council approved the introduction of a new on-demand transit service for City residents on January 21, with an initial start this summer and a full launch in September.
Operating as Ottawa River Transit, this service will be different from the traditional fixed-route service of the 1990s. Using the latest technology, this new service will operate on demand, where transit-specific software selects the best route to take people where they want to go...

TAKE NOTICE THAT the audited financial statements of the Corporation of the City of Pembroke for the year ending December 31, 2023 were adopted at the regular meeting of Council held on January 7th, 2025.
Pursuant to subsection 295 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, the 2023 Audited Financial Statements are available on the City’s website or a hard copy can be obtained at City Hall upon request at no cost.

Kinsmen Pool Reopens January 15

Repair work at Kinsmen Pool is near complete.
The Kinsmen Pool will reopen its doors Wednesday January 15th, offering many of its regular swim programs. The opening date, however, will still hinge on Health Unit and Ministry of Labour approvals, scheduled in the coming week. For learn to swim programs, registration will open Monday January 20th.
