Mayor's Message December 2023

While reflecting this holiday season, and as 2023 concludes, I wish to take this opportunity to wish all the residents, businesses, and organizations the very best.
The City of Pembroke has accomplished a great deal in 2023 with the most recent accomplishment being the creation of a warming center to assist the most vulnerable in our community. Parks & Recreation Committee Waterfront Committee Request Committee agreed to issue a revised invoice for 2023 Waterfront Gardener (summer labour) from $19,402.00 to $9,701.00; and

Planning & Development Committee Pembroke Regional Hospital Presentation Representatives of the Pembroke Regional Hospital were in attendance to speak regarding the hospital’s purchase of an electronic medical records system, indicating that this will increase connected care for patients, recruitment of physicians and other health care professionals and add to the provision of high quality and up-to-date care for their patients and families. They were seeking financial support from Council.

Joint Community Safety & Well-Being Plan

The City of Pembroke in conjunction with the Towns of Deep River, Laurentian Hills and Petawawa; and the Townships of Admaston/Bromley, Head Clara & Maria, Laurentian Valley, North Algona Wilberforce, and Whitewater Region developed a Joint Community Safety & Well-Being Plan Upper Ottawa Valley.
