The Pembroke Beautification and Climate Action Committee works to promote improvements to the appearance of the city, enhance the natural environment, and recommend actions to address climate change issues. Every year as part of beautification efforts, community members can purchase bridge boxes and planters to assist in the efforts to maintain the beauty of our city.
This program has helped Pembroke to blossom, and it is because of the efforts of the local committee that is made up entirely of volunteers. The Beautification and Climate Action Committee runs a local competition for residents, businesses, and institutions, a Community Cleanup, and provides education on the importance of these programs.
The Beautification and Climate Action Committee has also implemented an Adopt-A-Street program within the community.
If you would like to be part of this exciting program, please contact the City of Pembroke at 613-735-6821 ext. 1510 or visit the Beautification and Climate Action Committee Facebook page.
