 Canada Day 

Celebrate Canada Day with delicious food, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and spectacular fireworks! Traditionally held on July 1st, the festivities sometimes extend to adjoining days, offering even more opportunities to come together as a community. There’s something for everyone to enjoy as we honor the values, diversity, and spirit that make our country so special.

 Pembroke Multicultural Festival

The Pembroke Multicultural Festival, presented by the Pembroke Public Library, is a vibrant celebration of culture, diversity, and community traditions. Held annually in mid-July, this lively event features activities and entertainment including food and craft vendors, musicians, performers, workshops, and much more! Celebrate with us and embrace the rich cultural mosaic that makes our community unique.

 Santa Claus Parade of Lights

Pembroke's annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights is a cherished community event that illuminates the downtown area with festive cheer. Traditionally held in late November, the parade features a variety of brightly lit floats, marching bands, and holiday-themed displays, culminating with an appearance by Santa Claus himself. The parade route typically winds through the heart of Pembroke, allowing spectators of all ages to enjoy the spectacle.

SnoSpree, presented by the City of Pembroke, is an exciting winter celebration that brings the community together for fun and festivities. Held annually in February, this lively event features outdoor activities, live entertainment, food vendors, family-friendly fun, and much more!  Jim Sloan Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament 

The Jim Sloan Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament, proudly sponsored every year by Bogies Bar, is a spirited community event held every spring that honors the legacy of Jim Sloan—a dedicated volunteer passionate about youth and sports development. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the Boys & Girls Club (BGC), supporting local programs that help young people stay active and engaged.

 Pembroke Community Expo 

The Pembroke Community Expo is an exciting event held annually in the spring that brings together local businesses, organizations, and residents to showcase the best our community has to offer. Featuring a variety of exhibits, interactive activities, and opportunities to connect, the Expo is the perfect place to discover new services, support local, and celebrate community spirit.

 National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrated every June 21, honors the cultures, heritage, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. In Pembroke, the day is celebrated at Waterfront Park with traditional music, dance, and ceremonies that highlight Indigenous traditions and community strength.

 Remembrance Day 

Each year on November 11, Pembroke holds a Remembrance Day ceremony at War Memorial Park starting at 10:45 a.m. The event honors veterans, active service members, and those who sacrificed for our country. It includes a parade, wreath laying, speeches, a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m., and musical tributes. The ceremony draws many from Pembroke and nearby communities, reflecting our shared respect and gratitude.

Spooky Movie Night, held annually in the fall, is a popular community event that brings people together to enjoy classic horror and thriller films. PemBARK is a lively annual community event dedicated to furry friends and their owners. Featuring fun activities, contests, vendors, and opportunities to socialize, PemBARK is the perfect way to celebrate the special bond between dogs and their humans while enjoying a day outdoors together.

 Deck the Halls Community Showdown

Deck the Halls Community Showdown is a festive holiday tradition held annually around Christmastime. Residents, businesses, and organizations in Pembroke and Laurentian Valley compete in a friendly decorating contest, lighting up their communities with dazzling displays and holiday spirit.
