Park Social Club!
The City of Pembroke is proud to partner with Dragonfly Family and Learning Services to bring Park Social Club to our community!
What is Park Social Club?
Park Social Club is a series of relaxed, inclusive park meetups for neurodivergent children and their families. These free, drop-in gatherings offer welcoming spaces for kids to play and socialize at their own pace, while caregivers have a chance to connect and share experiences.
The club is open to children of all ages, their siblings, and their caregivers. Many children who attend have ADHD, autism, sensory processing needs, or other neurodivergent traits. Families who find that typical playdates or larger community events might not suit their child are warmly welcomed.
Coordinated by Erin Curtis, Dragonfly’s Director and Certified ABA Parent Educator, the program benefits from Erin’s professional expertise and personal experience as a neurodiverse parent raising her own daughter. She brings over a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent children and their families.
Two sessions will be hosted at Pembroke’s Rotary Park on June 21 and August 23 at 11:00 a.m. For additional dates and locations at playgrounds across other Renfrew County
municipalities, visit dragonflyfamilyandlearning.ca/events
