Camper Information
Lunch & Snacks |
Parents or guardians are responsible for packing their child’s lunch and snacks each day. Campers will have at least two snack breaks, and one lunch break daily. To maintain a safe environment for all campers and staff, all food must be free of nuts and seafood. We recommend including a variety of healthy food options and packing extra snacks, as children tend to be more active at camp than on a typical school day and often have increased appetites. Please also send your child with a labelled, refillable water bottle. |
Medical Information |
Staff are not permitted to administer medication to children, except in emergency situations involving an EPI-PEN or inhaler. In such cases, staff will supervise, but the child must be capable of self-administering the medication. All medication must be provided in its original, clearly labeled container, including the child’s name and dosage as prescribed by a doctor or pharmacy. Medication must be handed directly to program staff and should not be kept in the child’s backpack. If a participant requires an EPI-PEN, it must be worn at all times. |
Health Concerns |
To maintain a safe environment, staff must be informed of all health conditions and safety concerns. Any diagnosed medical conditions must be clearly indicated and highlighted on the registration form. Children displaying symptoms of a contagious illness or infection will not be allowed to attend Summer Camp until the issue has been resolved and they are no longer contagious. |
Personal Belongings |
Campers are not allowed to bring personal items to camp, except for those included on the approved list below. Please ensure all belongings are clearly labeled and packed in a single backpack or bag. The City of Pembroke is not responsible for any items that are lost, damaged, or stolen.
