Pembroke has many sports and fitness organizations across a variety of different fields and age groups to help get everyone involved in sports.

Ottawa Valley Baseball League

The Ottawa Valley Baseball League is a men's competitive baseball league with six teams from Pembroke, Killaloe, Petawawa, Chalk River, and Chapeau.

Ottawa Valley District Girls Hockey Association

The OVDGHA is the established body of girls' amateur hockey within Renfrew County. Its purpose is to foster, promote, improve and perpetuate the sport of girls' amateur hockey, to teach the fundamentals of hockey, fostering skill development, fair play and teamwork, to exercise supervision and direction over its players, coaches, team staff, spectators and executive with emphasis on the development of good character, behaviour and friendship, and to give players equal opportunity to play regardless of ability and merit while establishing programs to facilitate that goal.

Pembroke and Area Special Olympics

The Pembroke and Area Special Olympics has many registered volunteers and over 65 registered athletes. Every facet of the programs from administration to coaching is run by volunteers. Their vision is that sport will open the hearts and minds towards people with intellectual disabilities and create inclusive communities all across Ontario. They are dedicated to enriching the lives of Ontarians with intellectual disabilities through sport.

Pembroke Curling Centre

The Pembroke Curling Centre has been a part of our community for over 150 years. The facility is fully accessible. Consider joining one of their great curling leagues or bonspiel events in the fall and winter. The Pembroke Curling Centre now offers an indoor golf simulator with over 100 courses. This facility is open to the public and can be booked online. The banquet hall is available for rentals of up to 260 people which can be used for dances, weddings, meetings, and other celebrations. Pembroke Gentlemen's Basketball Association

The Pembroke Gentlemen's Basketball Association is a men's basketball league in Renfrew County, always on the lookout for new teams to enter the league, and also encourages single players to join them.

Pembroke Karate Club

The Pembroke Karate Club is a family-owned and operated traditional Itosu-Kai style karate club. Head Sensei Mark Stevens - Rokudan (6th dan black belt), as well as Nidan 2nd dan Kobudo (weaponry) has been the head sensei at the PKC since 1985. ​Sensei Mark has lead hundreds of students through their karate journey. He has a passion for teaching, and loves watching people grow in life.

The PKC Senseis are comprised of both men and women, some being teenagers, all the way through including many seniors. The club is a diverse group of people who come together from many different backgrounds because of the martial art they love - karate!

The Renfrew County ATV Club works with the Ontario Federation of ATV Clubs offering ATVing excitement on its many miles of managed trails that meander through forests, lake view vistas and remarkable Ontario Landscapes.

Explore a complete trail system of 1400 km of trails, routes, and roads built on a foundation of abandoned rail lines and forest access roads. This adventurous route winds its way across the countryside passing through several rural communities that provide riders with convenient access to a wide variety of supplies, services, and accommodations.
Its trail systems cuts through muddy wetlands, shaded forests, shimmering lakes, and verdant farmlands.

Swinging Swallows Square Dance Club

The Swinging Swallows Square Dance Club in the Ottawa Valley has been dancing since the fall of 1987. Its sessions accommodate new and veteran dancers, all of whom enjoy the physical and mental workout that comes with modern square dancing.

Dance nights are comprised of lessons and dancing what has been taught, and then it’s practice, practice, practice! It's not long before new dancers are feeling like old pros! Their membership varies in ages and abilities with everyone enjoying the fun and friendships that are offered.
