New this year, The Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with local businesses to bring you Winter Craft Nights!
Each night will feature a different beginner friendly craft led by the very best in the Ottawa Valley. Come out and bring your friends for a night of good laughs and good crafts!

| February 13th: Paint Watercolour Bookmarks |

Nuthatch Artistry will host our first Winter Craft Night, kicking off our SnoSpree Festivities, where Heather Desormeaux will teach how to paint a full page of rose coloured florals, and then turn it into 6 bookmarks! Keep them for yourself or give them as a Valentines Day gift to the ones you love!

| February 20th: Soy Candle Workshop |
| When: February 20th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Irish Daisy Candle Co. will host our second Winter Craft Night with a Soy Candle Making Workshop! Participants will be making a 6oz soy candle with a wooden wick. They will have the opportunity to make their own custom scent blend or use a preblended scent they already love!

| March 6th: Fused Glass Workshop |
| When: March 6th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Yvonne Lux from The Stain in the Glass will host our third Winter Craft Night participants will learn how to fuse glass! Participants will be making a Snowman tea light candle holder, as pictured above.

| March 27th: Grow Your Own Groceries Masterclass |
| When: March 27th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Where: Pembroke Memorial Center, Activity Room Preregistration is required. Spaces are limited.
Akos from Re.Planted is going to teach how to grow your own Groceries! This class will be catered towards beginners, where participants will learn everything they need to start their own home garden, including how to create living soil and plan your garden, compost and grow your plants, and harvest and preserve your groceries! While listening to this lesson, participants will have an opportunity to start the seed germination process for their very own basic garden!

| April 3rd: Mixed Media Workshop |
| When: April 3rd from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Where: Pembroke Memorial Center, Activity Room Preregistration is required. Spaces are limited.
Join us for an engaging and creative workshop where you'll create a beautiful art piece featuring two birds enjoying their time among the branches. Using an 8x10 or 11x14 canvas as your base, we'll start with an acrylic painted background to set the scene. You'll then bring the image to life with your choice of vibrant mosaic precut paper, adding texture and color to your artwork. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels and offers a wonderful opportunity to explore your artistic side while enjoying the process of creating something unique and visually appealing. Come and experience the joy of art in a supportive and inspiring environment!

| April 17th: Spring Planter Workshop |

Just in time for Spring, Sunset Nursery will teach participants how to make a Spring Planter!
