The City of Pembroke provides a bi-weekly collection program providing green bin and food waste collection services to residential properties and to some multi-residential and commercial establishments.
Weekly green bin collection is held during the summer months of June, July, and August. The City of Pembroke provides collection for food waste and organics in the green cart only, extra paper bags or containers during this time period will not be collected. Please view the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre (OVWRC)'s collection calendar for dates and restrictions.
Please use only paper bags to line your green bin if you choose to use a liner. Bags marketed as compostable aren't always compostable.
