The City of Pembroke in conjunction with the Towns of Deep River, Laurentian Hills and Petawawa; and the Townships of Admaston/Bromley, Head Clara & Maria, Laurentian Valley, North Algona Wilberforce, and Whitewater Region developed a Joint Community Safety & Well-Being Plan Upper Ottawa Valley.
The primary goal of a Community Safety & Well-Being Plan is to identify and address the root causes of safety and well-being issues in a community. Community safety and well-being is a joint responsibility of all members of a community including the police, municipalities, First Nations and community partners to develop strategies, programs and services to help minimize risk factors and improve the overall well-being of our communities.
