Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF) - Moffat Street Slope Stability
Committee directed staff to submit an application to the federal government under the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund, for outfalls and inland flooding. The Mayor will again contact the Provincial Government requesting funds to contribute to aid the Moffat Street Slope Stability issues. If a positive response from the Province, a second application will be submitted to DMAF for the Slope Stability.
Pembroke Street West Phase 4 - Tender Contract No. 20-0264-4
Committee approved award of the Tender for Pembroke Street West Phase 4 to H & H Construction.
2022 Municipal Election Compliance Report of the Clerk
Committee heard the report from the Clerk indicating a report is available to the public setting out all candidates in the 2022 Election and indicating whether each candidate complied with Section 88.25 of the Municipal Elections Act. Two candidates failed to file their financial statements. This information can be found on the City’s website.
Pembroke 50+ Active Living Center Lease Agreement
Committee recommended Council to approve the Pembroke 50+ Active Living Centre Lease agreement.
Parks & Recreation Committee
Riverside Park Ball Diamond #4 Scoreboard Donation
The information report to Committee stated that Bogies Bar has donated 100% of the costs associated with a new scoreboard for Riverside Park Ball Diamond #4 which will be installed the first week of July.
Little League Ontario Senior Provincials - Fee Waiver Request
Committee approved the request to waive the fees for the upcoming Little League Ontario Senior Provincial Baseball Tournament taking place July 6-10, 2023.
Pembroke and Area Fiddling Association - Use of Riverside Park
Committee approved the use of Riverside Park in the amount of $6,500 for the annual Pembroke Fiddle and Step Dancing Contest.
Permanent Pickleball Courts at Kinsmen Park
Committee approved a permanent pickleball net to be erected at the Kinsmen Park multi-purpose court with an agreement developed to satisfy both the Pembroke Pickleball Club and the Parks & Recreation Department.
