Notice of 3-Hour Free Parking at Market Square Parking Lot and Shamrock Parking Lot

Pembroke City Council has approved 3-hour free parking at the Market Square Lot and the Shamrock Parking Lot.

Presently, the Market Square lot (located between Albert Street and Victoria Street) is a 2-hour free parking lot with 45 parking spaces. Effective immediately this will now become a 3-hour free parking lot.

The Shamrock lot (located at the corner of Pembroke Street West and Moffat Street) is presently a 3-hour metered parking lot with 12 parking spaces. The meters will be covered to allow free 3-hour parking.

The PBIA has heard from customers that a 2-hour parking limit is sometimes not enough time to complete their errands. Thus, the reason why these two parking lots are being changed to 3-hour free parking lots so longer parking options can be provided in the downtown core.

Free parking can be found at the Market Square Lot, Shamrock Lot, Alexander Street Lot, Marina Parking Lot and Cockburn Lot (during summer months only). Parking limits vary by location. Watch for signs where you are parking.
